Ready Set Blog for Traffic Course Review Plus The 4 Biggest Blogging Traffic Lies

Blogging Traffic is something all bloggers want. I know I did, and still do.

As a beginner blogger, it’s hard to get your blog going. Seeing 6 views a day is pretty devastating, especially since you’re working so hard.

Late nights, no sleep, giving up fun times all for a dream that, at times, seems unattainable.

Trust me. I’ve been there, and are still there at times.

I’m not where I want to be yet with my blogging, but I’m dreaming big and working hard.

If you’re here, you’ve probably been everywhere looking for traffic tips and courses to help you get your blog off the ground.

It can be discouraging all the things you read about traffic and how to get your blog going. I know it was very discouraging to me.

Well, let me tell you 4 things that I’ve heard over and over again, but have come to realize are NOT true.

4 Blogging Traffic Lies

the 4 biggest blog traffic lies

  1. If you don’t do it quick, it ain’t happening

False. This is not true. For the longest time, I felt like if I didn’t get my blog off the ground and start making an income that replaces my 9 to 5 job in 3 months, I was doomed, and I was doing it all wrong. However, those success stories are actually the few, not the many.

As I have learned different strategies, taken courses, and continue to learn and research, I see my blog improve, increase, and grow.

I might be slower than some, but this is my dream, and I ain’t given it up.

You do not have to get to 10,000 views overnight or even within 3 months or else all is doomed. Don’t give up, try different strategies, and find out what works for you!

  1. It’s Easy

False. Sometimes I think that if I truly knew how hard it was to make a blog, I would have never started. Probably not, but you never know.

It’s hard. It ain’t easy.

There are so many people that preach, it’s so simple.

So, naturally, if it’s hard, you must be doing it wrong. This is also false.

Building my traffic is tiring. Sure, the actual steps might be simple, but the time commitment, working on it, changing your strategy and figuring it out… is hard.

It gets easier as you learn and you get your strategy down, but when I first started, it was a lot of work, and it was hard.

So, keep at it! You’ll get there.

  1. You need a ton of traffic to make it

False. You just need a good following and you need to solve someone else’s problem.

There is a rule of thumb that 2-3% of people that come to your blog will actually buy. So if you have a product priced at $15.00 or an affiliate product that gives you a $15.00 commission you only need roughly 7,000 views a month to make $3,000 a month.

7,000 views ain’t that many! That’s totally doable.

Don’t get stuck on the fact that you need 100,000 views a month to start making any money. I mean, that’s a great goal, and if you want income strictly from ads, you’ll need that many views. But it’s not a NEED.

  1. Blogging is all about traffic

False. Blogging is about getting traffic, but that’s not what it’s ALL about.

Unfortunately, if you’re only thinking about your traffic and not your readers, it will come across in your writing.

Part of getting traffic, is having good content. The way you have good content is by writing great articles that your audience needs.

“If you build it, they will come.”

This is partly true. I mean, you have to put the work in to get the traffic, but if you’re writing great stuff, your audience will find you, stay, and come back again for more!

So, if you’ve heard any one of these lies, don’t get discouraged. Your dreams are still achievable!
